Prepare your kids with the skills they need to feed themselves for Life!
Over the course of the week, CHEF CAMP will teach your kids the ground rules of the kitchen, how the tools work and the basic skills of preparing meals and snacks. The kids will be guided on how to take more responsibility for what they eat and how this can and will affect them in their daily lives. Using the principles from her 'How to Eat A Healthy Life" course, Denise starts with energy and explains how the body makes it and then shows the kids how to cook the fuel to get their motors running. Each day has a new focus with a range of new food learnings and themes. It's also a huge amount of fun, cooking everything from scratch from homemade granola, curries, noodles, soups, scones, breads and lots more tasty and nutritious dishes. We end the week with a baking and desserts blitz!
We are fully Garda Vetted. The kids sit down at the end of each day and eat what they've made together. Spaces are limited to 10 kids per week.
About your Host
Denise Cavanagh is a Nutritionist and Natural Chef who is passionate about getting kids cooking. Ballymaloe trained, she went on to open a number of successful cafés and a craft bakery in South Dublin. After a life changing experience she turned her focus to nutrition, returning to college to study nutritional therapy. Denise has developed a 'How to Eat A Healthy Life' course which focuses on teaching nutritional education alongside demonstrations on how to cook the food. While running a busy 'Cooking and Nutrition Clinic', she is the Course Director for the Natural Chef Diploma course run by the College of Naturopathic Medicine in Dublin.
