Tired of the same old combinations and looking for some fresh ideas to inspire healthier eating? This class will explore all of the latest and tastiest salad combinations from around the Mediterranean, Middle East and Asia. You will discover how to inject real flavour, texture and goodness into your salads. The first half of the class will focus on everyday salads, for packed lunches and midweek meals. In the second half, we'll explore more luxurious platter-style salad making for entertaining at home. You will learn about the benefits of the different ingredients and how to pack a punch with some delicious and nutritious dressings.
About your host
Ruth Wassel is one of our Triggerfish resident cooks. She spent 10 years living and cooking in Naples, Italy. She was a tutor at the Ballymaloe Cook School for two years and is passionate about cooking with the best of Irish ingredients. She has written for Food and Wine Magazine and has done cookery demonstrations all over Ireland for Gaggenau, Neff, Siemens and KitchenAid. She cooks for Bora in Ireland and London and does regular demos for the diabetic centre in St James hospital.
