In this class, we take a whirlwind tour of The East with Ruth who has travelled extensively across the continent. We explore the varied flavours of Vietnam & Thailand before honing in on some mouthwatering Chinese dishes that are easy to make and are a great crowd pleaser, such as Pork Char Sui and Rice paper rolls, perfect for entertaining and better than any takeaway! We will finish with a classic Asian dessert. We will also explore Sri Lankan tastes. All the dishes are made with fresh Irish ingredients bar items from the Asian Market which Ruth will advise you about. The ideal class for someone who wants to inject a bit of spice into their cooking.

About your host

Ruth Wassel has over 20 years experience staging demos, food events and catering shows all over Ireland. She spent 10 years living and cooking in Naples, Italy. She taught cooking in The Ballymaloe Cook School and is passionate about cooking with the best of Irish ingredients.
