Join us for this very special class of Indian cooking with one of the leading lights of Indian cooking in Ireland.

Chef Karan Mittal will introduce you to the basics of Indian cooking with a focus on simplicity, taste and good ingredients. You will learn about how best to use spices to bring out real flavour in your dishes. You will also discover how to prepare homemade masalas and marinades that will allow you to create a series of mouthwatering Indian inspired meals. Karan's focus on using locally sourced ingredients is what makes his approach to cooking all the more distinctive and relevant to Irish tastes.

About your host

Head chef at Ananda, Dublin, Karan's philosophy of food is inspired by Indian traditions and driven by his love of local and seasonal Irish ingredients. He was awarded 'Rising star of the Year' for 2018 by Food and Wine Magazine and 'Young Chef of the Year' for 2018 at the Irish Curry Awards. Born and brought up in Delhi. he has travelled extensively around India learning the traditional techniques and different native schooling styles. He worked in New York for 2 years and completed a stage at a 2 Michelin starred restaurant in California.
